Infinity Cross

Overwhelming gear durability made possible by precise design and manufacturing technology

Thanks to advances in gear tooth surface design and manufacturing technology, the contact area between the drive gear and pinion gear has been increased.

As a result, the load applied to the gear tooth surface is distributed over a wider area. This helps prevent concentrated damage and significantly improves gear durability.

Compared with conventional designs, durability has been improved by approximately 2 times.

Infinity Loop

Greatly reduced line release resistance for an exceptionally smooth casting feel

Infinity Loop is Shimano’s ultra-dense line winding system, going beyond conventional dense winding.

By improving the internal structure, the up-and-down movement speed of the spool has been dramatically reduced. This allows the line to be wound onto the spool one strand at a time in a highly precise and orderly manner.

As a result, line release resistance is greatly reduced, delivering a clean, effortless casting feel and smooth line flow.

Infinity Drive

Powerful winding performance that keeps you in control

Shimano’s conventional X-SHIP structure, known for light winding, has evolved into an even more powerful system.

By supporting the main shaft with a special low-friction bushing instead of the pinion gear, sliding resistance is greatly reduced. In addition, the main shaft itself is treated with special surface processing and precision machining, further reducing rotational torque.

This allows the reel to wind powerfully and smoothly, even under heavy load.

Anti-Twist Fin

Line trouble reduction for a more comfortable fishing experience

An elastic fin is placed close to the line roller section to help control slack line.

By reducing line slack, the Anti-Twist Fin helps prevent line from falling beneath the spool and reduces the chance of twisted line being wound onto the spool.

Dura Cross

Smooth and reliable drag performance with outstanding wear resistance

Dura Cross uses a newly developed drag washer material.

New fibers are woven at right angles to the fiber direction used in conventional drag washers, strengthening the material while maintaining smooth drag performance.

As a result, wear resistance has been improved by more than 10 times compared with conventional designs.
