By making the DC unit more compact, Shimano has successfully installed a DC braking system into a small-diameter spool. The combination of a low-inertia spool with light startup performance and a DC brake that controls braking force in 1/1000-second increments enables excellent casting performance even with lightweight lures, including low-trajectory casts, long-distance casting, and strong backlash prevention.
The DC braking system features the new I-DC5, offering more precise control than before. In addition, the brake settings have been expanded to 15 levels, regardless of line type, making it easier to find the optimal setting.
With Magnumlite Spool IV, Silent Tune, and S3D Spool, spool vibration is reduced, minimizing power loss during casting. The design maximizes spool rotation performance and further improves casting capability.
Core technologies such as MicroModule Gear, X-SHIP, and HAGANE Body are also included, delivering reliable basic performance.
This is a new-generation technical DC reel with excellent versatility, suitable not only for black bass but also for saltwater light game such as black sea bream and light rockfish.
