The NOUSAKU Sakura Sake Set pairs two distinctive Mount Fuji-inspired sake cups—Sakura Fuji, softly colored to evoke cherry blossoms across the mountain, and Fujiyama, showcasing the natural luster and texture of pure tin—with a generously sized Katakuchi sake server.
The delicate gradation of the Sakura Fuji cup is created entirely by hand. Skilled artisans carefully control the amount and intensity of the applied color, giving each piece a subtle sense of depth and individuality.
Shaped like an inverted Mount Fuji, the sake cups feature a wide opening designed to naturally enhance the aroma and richness of sake. They are particularly well suited to full-bodied styles such as Junmai and Yamahai, as well as gently warmed sake. A tiny Mount Fuji motif also appears inside each cup, revealing a charming landscape as you sip.
Tin has long been used in Japan for sake and tea ware. Pouring sake first into the Katakuchi helps open its aroma and creates a cleaner, smoother drinking experience. Thanks to tin’s excellent thermal conductivity, the vessels also become pleasantly chilled after just 1–2 minutes in the refrigerator, making them ideal for serving cold sake.
