Tsuchime refers to the distinctive surface pattern created by repeatedly striking metal with a hammer. With every strike, the surface gradually develops its own texture, making each finished tumbler truly one of a kind.

Inspired by the 400-year tradition of Takaoka metal casting, NOUSAKU developed this kit to bring the experience of Japanese metal craftsmanship into the home. Simply place the included plastic support cup inside the tumbler, then hammer from the center of the base outward and from the bottom of the sides toward the rim to create your own original pattern.

Because 100% pure tin is naturally soft, the hammered texture can be created without excessive force, making the experience approachable and enjoyable for a wide range of users.
